Nepal Government Bans Bridge Course in Nepal
The Government of Nepal has banned bridge courses for SEE-appeared students through the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. Institutes with such courses unnecessarily pressure students academically and foster unhealthy competition among them, the ministry said.
Schools, colleges and institutions shall not conduct bridge courses or entrance preparation classes immediately after SEE of the respective institution as per the meantime directive. The ministry has stressed that students should be allowed to take time for rest, personal growth and skills exploration instead of being thrust into early academic rivalry.
Bridge Course in Nepal
A bridge course is a short academic preparation program designed to help students transition smoothly from secondary education (Grade 10) to higher secondary education (+2).
